I did not enjoy my rest days from work at all. After work on Thursday night (more like Friday morning since I put in extra hours), I went straight to visit my Papa in the hospital. He's got a heart monitor hooked up because they found some irregularities when my Mom and Dad took him to the ER on Wednesday night. He was sleeping (naturally) when I got there, so was my cousin who was keeping watch. He (Papa) woke up for awhile and chatted me up and told me to go home and get some sleep. I stayed for a little over an hour before I headed home.
I was drowsy while at the hospital, but was quite awake when I got here. I only got to post my layout though and then I got quite sleepy too. I don't know why, but I only went to bed around 530am. I think I attempted a late Thursday Thirteen but didn't get to post it...
I woke up at around 1230 noon with a nagging headache. I've had worst, but it seriously made me uncomfortable. I found out that I had Aunt Flo visiting too. Darn it.
I got to watch 7th Heaven reruns with my parents, but stayed mostly lying down, trying to get comfy to get rid of the headache. I slept again and woke up not feeling any better. Mom took my BP before she went up to sleep and she was quite worried by the reading.
By Saturday morning, the headache was still there - a 4 in a scale of 1 to 10. Not the worst I've had, but it was totally wasting my two days off. I couldn't do much of anything - I stayed away from the computer of course. I couldn't give Zune a bath. Couldn't go anywhere.
Before lunch, my mom took my BP again and felt it was too high. She insisted I go to the ER. So Dad and I went. They were going to give me injectable pain reliever which I agreed to until I saw the huge needle. I totally chickened out. The doctor was sympathetic and said I could just have oral medication. Bless him. Haha.
We spent about three hours there. Waiting for the meds was what took long. Almost made me change my mind about having the injectable. Almost.
Anyway, it didn't get rid of the headache completely, but I don't feel it as much anymore. In truth, I can still sense it lurking in my head. I probably shouldn't be staring at this bright monitor...
I hope everyone else had a better weekend than mine...
