I'm a Guitar Hero!

A few days ago, I posted about my growing addiction to the Xbox360 game Guitar Hero. Well guess what? I now not only play the game at work, but at home too.

We spent 1500 pesos to have the Playstation 2 that Alfred's friend gave him repaired at Greenhills. The lens chever had to be changed. We then looked around for Guitar Hero compatible guitar controllers that would fit our budget, and found one that cost 1500 pesos. We also picked up a few titles of the game and RockBand too. Indeed, we felt like we had a very early Christmas.

Upon getting home, we found my mom busy with Cafe World and FB on the PC, while dad was catching up with some work on his laptop. That meant the living room TV was free. Esban was there, proudly announcing that he invaded our room to borrow the PSP. Good thing he was already there though, I knew he would be delighted to know that the PS2 is now operable.

We hooked up the console and we set up the guitar. At first, the games still won't load. If they did, the console would lose power after a minute or so. Alfred tried replacing some cables, and we also tried hooking up the power on a different outlet. Just as we were about to give up, it became apparent that it was the AVR that we had just bought that was defective. Ugh.

Once we used a different voltage regulator to plug in the 110-volt PS2, the only problem left was getting the games to load. Some games would load, but many would not. It was soooo frustrating.

Eventually, we got some of the games working and I spent hours and hours and hours on the guitar. I let others play too, but it really was mostly just me. I'll be posting photos on my photo blog soon. Hehe.

Cafe World Rating

It just won't go up for me, and it frustrates me so! I keep cooking and cooking and cooking, but sometimes the customers don't see anything they want to eat. Why isn't it just like Restaurant City where they would eat eat anything that was available on the menu? Sigh.

In the beginning, my rating went very high, as in in the 90s. But since I didn't know how to close shop at the time, it went kaput. Now I'm always just hovering over 5. I'm lucky when it goes up to 20, but I can't ever seem to sustain it.

But I can't make myself quit either.

I'm an associate!

As of Friday afternoon, I am now a USANA associate! I've encouraged everyone in the house to go ahead and take the Essentials system, but I've also specifically chosen to give ma a bottle of Procosa, and a bottle of Hepasil for my brother. Nothing in particular for my dad, but in time he might go for BiOmega or CoQuinone 30. Sound like mumbo jumbo to you?

Reach out to me and I can help you find your way to true health, and maybe even true wealth Hehe.

Here's a video of a feature on USANA shown on Fox:

USANA

Yesterday on Where the Moon Shines, I wrote about earning opportunities that the boyf and I were discussing over lunch. One of those opportunities, is becoming an associate with USANA

I have mostly made up my mind about it - I will sign up, and tomorrow shall be the day. More than the potential earnings, it is the product lineup they have that got me very interested. Next, is the potential for Internet marketing. They just started in the country, been here only seven months.

It will cost me some money, it is unlike a previous Networking opportunity I joined where I didn't even have to think about the money I doled out to sign up. Here, even if the money is actually payment for the health supplements that I and my family will be taking, I know I will feel it. Haha.

But that also gives me much hope. Because it's no joke to sign up, people are more committed to make the business work for them. Plus, I already saw the returns to an officemate's own brother. In a few short months, he has already built a small fortune. I don't think I will make as much as he is making right now, after all he is on top of the ladder while I will be many many steps down. But if I can even make a fraction of that, it would be great.

There are just those horror stories about other MLM opportunities nagging at the back of my mind.

Do you know USANA? What's been your experience, whether as consumer or as member of the organization?

Cafe World

In addition to Restaurant City, Bejeweled and Guitar Geek, I am now hooked on Cafe World and Happy Aquarium on Facebook.

At first, I didn't like Cafe World. You actually had to pay attention to it, it was high maintenance. You had to make sure you kept track of the cook times lest the food goes stale before you log back in to move it to the counters for serving. In RC, you had to make sure your staff don't get too tired. In CF, you may run out of food to serve. The good thing with RC is that you can block the door and that will allow you to close shop for the day, until you log back in to FB. In CF, there's no closing shop. So stock up on enough food to serve until your next log in. Or cook something that takes 24 hours to cook so it will be there when you login the next day.

I'd love to post screenshots, but Cafe World keeps timing out on me. They seem to be having server issues - something very inconvenient!
