A few days ago, I posted about my growing addiction to the Xbox360 game Guitar Hero. Well guess what? I now not only play the game at work, but at home too.
We spent 1500 pesos to have the Playstation 2 that Alfred's friend gave him repaired at Greenhills. The lens chever had to be changed. We then looked around for Guitar Hero compatible guitar controllers that would fit our budget, and found one that cost 1500 pesos. We also picked up a few titles of the game and RockBand too. Indeed, we felt like we had a very early Christmas.
Upon getting home, we found my mom busy with Cafe World and FB on the PC, while dad was catching up with some work on his laptop. That meant the living room TV was free. Esban was there, proudly announcing that he invaded our room to borrow the PSP. Good thing he was already there though, I knew he would be delighted to know that the PS2 is now operable.
We hooked up the console and we set up the guitar. At first, the games still won't load. If they did, the console would lose power after a minute or so. Alfred tried replacing some cables, and we also tried hooking up the power on a different outlet. Just as we were about to give up, it became apparent that it was the AVR that we had just bought that was defective. Ugh.
Once we used a different voltage regulator to plug in the 110-volt PS2, the only problem left was getting the games to load. Some games would load, but many would not. It was soooo frustrating.
Eventually, we got some of the games working and I spent hours and hours and hours on the guitar. I let others play too, but it really was mostly just me. I'll be posting photos on my photo blog soon. Hehe.
