Truffles are back in business

Last night was supposed to be my rest day already but I went to work. No one asked me to but I had deliverables I wasn't done with and I didn't want to be non-compliant. So to work I went. 

But not before making two batches of truffles. Brought all six packs to the office, and all were sold out within minutes of getting there.

So I got to thinking - if I can sell minimum six packs per day for five days a week - I can resign from my job and just do this. Haha. Nah.

I am so thankful too because one of the agents (who I trained as a new hire) totally did a great PR job for me! As in! I have orders for next week already. Yay!

I made brownies last week too - with chopped almonds instead of the usual cashew. Everyone who tasted it loved it, as expected. This week I'll make a batch with my specialty - cream cheese topped brownies! This used to be my best seller a few years back. Now I'm already thinking of getting space at the regular payday bazaar at work, but I need someone to man the table for that. I don't want to jack up my prices if I'll have to pay someone to sell them. Hmm...

Crazy night

I went back to work last night, after three days of absence due to flu-like symptoms. It wasn't a crazy night, I heard Wednesday night was way crazier, but I did have to take a supervisor call - something I haven't had to do in at least the past 7 months.  There have been policy changes at work, and this is one of them.  

I did have a fairly good time, and had quite a bit of work done - but none of the actual deliverables that I'd need to turn in by tomorrow. Which means I am up for a super busy time tonight. Tsk.

It's crazy because I completely understand that there's a need to take calls and help out the queue - but I still want none of it. As in.

Team GRID on a Team outing

Posting these pictures have been delayed by a month, my team's been clamoring for these since the day after the event.

I finally had time to resize, watermark, and upload the photos today I left out photos of Esban, and one of my agent's kids though. I'll setup another album for them some other time (who knows when that'll be, haha!).

Unfit to Work

Just came back from the doctor's. She advised me to take a rest for 2-3 more days, take some meds, and to go back for a follow up if things don't clear up by Thursday.

The doctor was okay, not as friendly as I would have preferred, but she's okay.

Of course she couldn't help but comment on my weight. And frankly, I don't mind. I totally understand. She advised for me to have a workup to check my thyroid and my blood sugar and all that. Maybe it really is what I need. Another wake up call.

Or not.

I'd hate to think about the pile of work I'd be going back to after all this sickness is through....
