Yesterday, tens of thousands flocked the funeral cortege that brought Cory Aquino from the La Salle campus in Greenhills to Manila Cathedral. The trip took a full five hours.
It's amazing how the Filipino people have shown their support for the late president and the family she left behind. I just hope and pray that even half of them would actually lead lives that would make a difference in another person's life.
In my
main blog I posted the card that we intended to include with the flowers we were leaving at Times Street last Saturday. We made it there just before sundown on Saturday August 1st, the day she died.
Those last two are photos of my mom as she was being interviewed by GMA news. A very short clip was shown on the midnight news. Very short.
I envy the people who actually got to know Mrs. President, she seems genuinely nice and caring.
Like I've said, I hope that her death inspires people to do good for their country, that is the ultimate remembrance of her life's work and legacy.
