Due to my involvement with child rights' groups, specifically with ECPAT-Philippines, I was able to travel in my teen years. One of those trips took me to Paris, France. We went up the Eiffel Tower (we took the stairs!), saw and posed next to Mona Lisa, and trudged up to Sacre Coeur. I walked the streets and spent some time in a corner bookstore. We didn't have coffee at an outdoor cafe though.
It was the summer before I turned 18 so I enjoyed discounts for the fees in most sights. Hehe.
I've always dreamed of going back, and of touring the rest of Europe.
It would be wonderful to go back to Paris and show Alfred around to places I was able to visit, and then go see new places too. We could look for a cheap hotel, maybe a 3-star one like the one we stayed at near Chemin Vert so many years ago.
We could also go to London and visit the Queen! Hehe.I would love to go even if just to ride those black taxis (are they still around?) and big red double-decker buses! Okay, I really want to see Harrod's too and, what else should we go see?
Oh, and we've got to go see Spain too, a trip to Barcelona might be nice. Wasn't that where SanCai and Dao Ming Xiu went? I so loved the scenery shown during their trip. I'm afraid I don't know anyone there though. I hear Madrid is a must-see too.
We've got to find a way to figure in a visit to Rome too! I remember my Romantic Rome post last year. I'd really really love to go see the Blue Grotto in Capri.
Sometimes I wonder whether that Europe Dream Tour will ever happen, specially when we aren't even sure these days how to put together the funds for our Bohol trip this year with our friends. Oh well. I must believe that it will happen!
