~*~ Jojo aka Jo Arni : i've known her since i was four years old. and i'm sure that if i find my first diary from when i was in grade school, i probably described her there as a best friend one specific summertime. we really got to know each other in highschool though. we hardly see each other now that we don't live in the same neighborhood. i haven't seen her in a year! but i know she knows i am just here, like i know she'll always be around

~*~ Mayeen : she's one of the reasons why UP will always have a soft spot in my heart. she always has a smile ready for you. and you can cry with her too. she's a big baby, very endearing, and you can't imagine staying mad at her for a long time. we don't get to talk as often as we want. hopefully it is rectified soon.

~*~ Raechelle : the very first friend i made in UP. who'd have thought that out of the many freshmen enrolling that day, the person i stop to ask is this girl who is taking the same degree i'm enrolling for? we have so many things to talk about. i look forward when we could just sit and talk. just the two of us. i'm ninang to her baby too.

~*~ Monsi : scroll down and you'll read about our date last Sunday i read her most recent blog post, and she made my day

~*~ Anliza : my lost and found friend. we seem lost again lately. i don't know, she just feels distant for some reason i can't explain. i know i really have not done my part these past months. i'm hoping i can correct that. i have to remember to get in touch.

~*~ Arianne : we've been estranged for about 4 years now. we've patched things up, but never had the chance to really talk about what happened. because of that, it never felt the same way. seeing her with Yrish and Pauie and seeing how close the three of them are sometimes pulls on my heartstrings. i know, that if given the chance, we would still be one big happy and close-knit group. but we're not. what's even more sad is that we can't even be comfortable together anymore. it's just not the same. i really don't know what we need to do to make it better.

~*~ Kathie and Yaki : my two childhood buddies. we rode bikes together. we'd sleep over every chance we'd get. we were three little pigs. these were friends i had all good times with. they were my playmates. we'd all wish on the first star we saw each night (late afternoon). i hope we could meet up and see what's become of each other.

~*~ Desiree and Pinky : these were my girlfriends in my NCCP children's theater days. we shared secrets, talked about our crushes, referred to them using codes: tobleron, hershey's, kisses. our friendship were mostly confined to summer camps, workshops, and other gatherings. but we always looked forward to the next meeting. until they stopped coming. Des is now a wife and mom. have not heard from Pinky since forever. when will we see each other again?

~*~ Core Group: these are the core group members of the young people against CSEC. sophia, erica and renan, reyna, michelle and rimer, laila. these are the hardest working, committed, driven and unmasked young people i've worked with. we've shared good laughs, shed buckets of tears too. we've helped nurse broken hearts, and witnessed love bloom. i owe these guys a round of drinks. or two.

these 12 individuals and 1 group, along with many others, have influenced the decisions i've made. they've seen me in different phases of my life. watched me grow. i'm sure they will all say something different about me, and see me in different ways. who i am is an aggregate of their thoughts of me. no one person can possibly know all of me. just as i can't assume i know all of any one person.
